PM Calls for Attention to Health Practitioner Management

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has called for attention to the management of all health practitioners throughout the country.

The mass HIV/AIDS infection in Roka Commune, Sangker district, Battambang, a northwestern province of Cambodia, is an important experience of medical practitioner management in the country, said the Cambodian premier while presiding over the closing ceremony of the 36th Health Conference in Phnom Penh.

Cambodian Cabinet Meeting Approves the Draft Industrial Development Policy 2015-2025

The plenary cabinet meeting, held here this morning under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, endorsed the draft Industrial Development Policy 2015-2025 in order to promote the development of industrial sector in contribution to maintaining the country’s high economic growth.

According to a press release issued this evening by the Press and Quick Reaction Unit of the Office of the Council of Ministers, the Industrial Development Policy 2015-2025 is the key point to diversify Cambodia’s productivity addressed by Samdech Techo Hun Sen at the Cambodia Outlook Conference 2015 under the theme of “ASEAN Economic Community 2015 and Beyond: Reform Agenda.”

PM: Cambodia Is a Country with Great Potential for Growth

Cambodia’s Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen said Cambodia has great potential for growth and opportunities for diversification in many other sectors, implying that there is still a big room for investment.

Addressing to the 2015 Cambodia Outlook Conference under the theme of “ASEAN Economic Community 2015 and Beyond: Our Reform Agenda”, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said at the present, Cambodia’s economic growth depends on traditional sectors such as garment, tourism, construction and agriculture sectors.

Cambodia is hosting the International Conference on “Responsibility to Protect at 10: Progress, Challenges and Opportunities in Asia Pacific” under the theme of “Cambodia Plays Roles as a Forerunner to Prevent Atrocities in ASEAN Regions” at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra Hotel on Feb. 26-27.

The official opening ceremony of the international conference was held this morning under the presidency of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Cambodian PM Receives the First Cambodian-American State Legislator

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen received here this morning at the Peace Palace visiting H.E. Rady Mom, the first Cambodian-American Legislator of Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the 18th Middlesex district.

According to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to the Cambodian premier, H.E. Rady Mom told Samdech Techo Hun Sen of his homeland visit and sought recommendations from the prime minister.

In reply, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said no school teaches us to be a legislator, but the work itself teaches us everyday while the effective work is based on the information on hand.

NA Presidents Supports the Constructive, not Radical Opposition

Cambodian National Assembly (NA) President Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin received here on Tuesday visiting H.E. Rady Mom, the first Cambodian-American Legislator of Massachusetts House of Representatives.

In the meeting, Samdech Heng Samrin briefed H.E. Rady Mom of the political situation in the country, saying that currently, Cambodia’s NA is comprised of lawmakers from two political parties – 68 from the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) and the remaining 55 from the opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP).

The NA president expressed his support to the constructive opposition, but not to the radical opposition. “I appreciate and support the presence of opposition party because the opposition party is a mirror to reflect the ruling party in order to revise the missing points, but I don’t support any opposition party that wish to overthrow the leaders,” he said.

Samdech Bun Rany Hun Sen Re-elected as the President of Cambodian Red Cross

Samdech Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, Cambodian first lady, was re-elected unanimously as the President of the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC) at the 6th CRC General Assembly held here yesterday afternoon at Chaktomuk Conference Hall.

Addressing to the closing ceremony of the 6th CRC General Assembly on the same day, Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen expressed his congratulations to Samdech Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen on her re-election and his full support to all the elected members of the CRC Central Committee for this 6th mandate.

Stung Meanchey Flyover Put Into Use

Cambodia’s third flyover, Stung Meanchey, was inaugurated here this morning under the presidency of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The construction of this butterfly-shape flyover is aimed to contribute to solving the traffic congestion in the capital city.

In June, a 266-meter-long and 8 to 10-meter-wide underpass, which is part of the Stung Meanchey Flyover Construction Project, was put in use.

The first two pass-over bridges are Kbal Thnal Flyover along Preah Monivong Blvd adjacent to Preah Monivong Bridge, and the January 7 Flyover, at the intersection of Pet Lok Sang (Monks’ Hospital) traffic lights.

DPM Sok An Presides Over Graduation Ceremony of 140 Law Students

Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Sok An, Minister in charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers, presided over here on Tuesday a graduation ceremony of 140 law students of the 10th, 11th, and 12th Promotion of the Lawyer Training Center.

Mr. Bun Honn, President of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia, said the training of lawyer-to-be students was divided into two stages by recruiting the students to be trained until they take their exams for the first stage, while the second stage the ongoing education, the unlimited training that they will be involving in working with their professions.

PM: Cambodia Is Not a Place for Establishment of Any Government in Exile

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, said here this morning that Cambodia will not allow any country or any group to form a government in exile on its [Cambodian] territory.
