Cambodian Cabinet Meeting Approves the Draft Industrial Development Policy 2015-2025

image001The plenary cabinet meeting, held here this morning under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo image002Hun Sen, endorsed the draft Industrial Development Policy 2015-2025 in order to promote the development of industrial sector in contribution to maintaining the country’s high economic growth.

According to a press release issued this evening by the Press and Quick Reaction Unit of the Office of the Council of Ministers, the Industrial Development Policy 2015-2025 is the key point to diversify Cambodia’s productivity addressed by Samdech Techo Hun Sen at the Cambodia Outlook Conference 2015 under the theme of “ASEAN Economic Community 2015 and Beyond: Reform Agenda.”

At this conference held on Mar. 5 in Phnom Penh, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said to achieve the economic diversification, the Industrial Development Policy 2015-2025 will be launched.

This Policy not only provides Cambodia with the “New Growth Strategy” that is the vision and roadmap for industrial development, but also promotes foreign direct investment that is deemed to be an integral part and a key to achieving goals of the “New Growth Strategy,” he underlined.

Meanwhile, the cabinet meeting also discussed the draft sub-decree on procedures to create, dissolve, and define the roles and duties of water using farmers’ community, aiming at ensuring the effective and sustainable management and use of irrigation system in Cambodia.
