Cambodia’s President of the National Assembly (NA) Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin departed here this morning for Vietnam for a three-day official and friendly visit at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart H.E. Nguyen Sinh Hung, to expand the bilateral relations and cooperation between the legislative body of both countries.
The Cambodian NA president was seen off at Phnom Penh International Airport by NA First Vice President H.E. Nguon Nhel and many other NA members.
According to a press release of the NA General Secretariat, during his stay in Vietnam from Aug. 18 to 20, Samdech Heng Samrin will hold bilateral talks with his Vietnamese counterpart H.E. Nguyen Sinh Hung.
Besides, it added, Samdech Heng Samrin will also pay courtesy calls on General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam H.E. Nguyen Phu Trong and Vietnamese President H.E. Truong Tan Sang; and meet with Vietnamese Prime Minister H.E. Nguyen Tan Dung.
In addition, the Cambodian NA president will visit the main historic sites in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, the press release pointed out.
