Cambodian PM Urges for Public Service Reform
Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has urged the civil servants to further improve the public services.
“Providing public services to people is not difficult if we are determined to serve people,” underlined the Cambodian premier while he was presiding over the closing ceremony of the annual meeting of the Ministry of Interior held here yesterday.
Public services have to be provided in accordance with the law and the change in attitude is also very important, said Samdech Techo Hun Sen, who laid stress on the transparency, accountability and effectiveness of sub-national administrations.
To enhance the transparency and accountability of sub-national administrations, a “One Window Service” mechanism in providing administrative services and a system to follow up, inspect and assess the feedback and complaints from people, as well as a mechanism to solve the complaints with transparency, accountability and effectiveness should be established, said Samdech Techo Prime Minister.
