The newly-appointed Minister is H.E. Aun Porn Moniroth, in replacement of H.E. Keat Chhon who became Permanent Deputy Prime Minister.
Speaking at the function, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his congratulations to H.E. Aun Porn Moniroth and highly appreciated the ministry’s achievements under the leadership of H.E. Keat Chhon.
For his part, H.E. Aun Porn Moniroth pledged to do his best to maintain the country’s macro-economic stability and ensure high economic growth.
On the same day, newly-appointed Minister of Commerce H.E. Sun Chanthol; Minister of Education, Youth and Sports H.E. Hang Chuon Naron; Minister of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation H.E. Vorng Saut; and Minister of Culture and Fine Arts H.E. Ms. Phoeung Sakona also took office in separate ceremonies.
The new government of the 5th legislature of the National Assembly under the leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen has in total 27 ministries, of which 10 have new ministers.
