PM Receives French and Japanese Ambassadors

image002Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia, met here this morning at the Peace image001Palace newly-appointed French Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Serge Mostura.

In the meeting, the French diplomat pledged to further strengthen the relations between the two governments and peoples and the bilateral economic development cooperation, as well as to encourage French small- and medium-sized companies to invest in Cambodia, H.E. Ieng Sophalet, Assistant to the Cambodian premier told reporters following the meeting.

In reply, Samdech Techo Hun Sen congratulated H.E. Serge Mostura on his appointment as the new French Ambassador to Cambodia and agreed with what the ambassador raised, stressing that Cambodia always welcomes all investors without any discrimination.

On the same day, Samdech Techo Hun Sen also held talks with newly-appointed Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia H.E. Yuji Kumamaru, said the assistant.

On the occasion, Samdech Techo Hun Sen urged H.E. Yuji Kumamaru to push for direct flights from Japan to Cambodia. He also expressed profound thanks to the Japanese government and people for their assistance to the peace building, reconstruction and development of Cambodia.

For his part, H.E. Ambassador of Japan thanked Samdech Techo Hun Sen who has always welcomed Japanese investors and requested the premier to further support them.
