Phnom Penh City Signs Sister-City Relationship Establishment with Cleveland City

image006Phnom Penh Capital City of Cambodia and Cleveland City of Tennessee State, U.S., have reached here a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of Sister-City Relationship Establishment.

The MoU were signed by Phnom Penh Municipal Governor H.E. Kep Chuktema and visiting Cleveland’s Council Member Mr. William Earl Estes on Mar. 11 in order to further strengthen cooperation between the two cities.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, H.E. Kep Chuktema said the MoU on sister-city relationship establishment would tighten and expand the ties between the two cities as well as the two countries, and he added that Cleveland city is the first U.S. city to form an alliance with Phnom Penh Capital City.

Phnom Penh Capital City has so far established sister-city relationship with many ASEAN member countries’ cities as well as Beijing of China and South Korea’s cities.
