Serbia Writes Off Cambodia’s Debt

image005The Republic of Serbia has decided to write off the 1-million debt owed by Cambodia before 1969, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Hor Namhong told reporters here this morning after a bilateral meeting with his visiting Serbian counterpart H.E. Ivan Mrkic.


It is the first official visit to Cambodia by H.E. Ivan Mrkic and during the talk, both sides agreed to boost more bilateral cooperation in all fields, H.E. Hor Namhong said.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Serbia will soon visit Cambodia, and there will be also an exchange of visit between business delegations of the two countries, he added.

Both top diplomats also discussed Serbia’s membership in the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC).
