Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance H.E. Keat Chhon on Wednesday held a talk with visiting Asian Development Bank (ADB)’s Executive Director Mr. Anthony Baker at the ministry.
During the meeting, H.E. Keat Chhon expressed warm welcome to Mr. Baker and thanked ADB for its assistance to Cambodia.
For his part, Mr. Anthony Baker pledged to provide more support to Cambodia’s development, especially under the Country Partnership Strategy (CPS) for Cambodia 2014-2018.
ADB has a budget of nearly US$300 million to further support Cambodia’s development under the CPS for 2014-2018, and it will also continue to help improving the railway infrastructure, he said.
ADB is one of the development partners of Cambodia. From 1992-2013, it has provided some US$1,850 million in grant and concessional loan to develop the fields of infrastructure, energy, agriculture, water supply, education and vocational training, finance, health, industry, ICT, etc.
