On the occasion, H.E. Vladimir Andreichenko informed the Cambodian premier of his visit in Cambodia, saying that it is aimed at strengthening the cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the fields of trade, investment and tourism including the establishment of direct flights between Cambodia and Belarus, according to H.E. Ieng Sophalet, Assistant to Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
H.E. Vladimir Andreichenko further said during his stay in the Kingdom, he will attend the inauguration ceremony of Belarus’ agricultural tractor assembly plant in Cambodia and sign some cooperation agreements on different sectors.
H.E. Vladimir Andreichenko also took the opportunity to invite Samdech Techo Hun Sen to pay an official visit to Belarus this year.
In reply, Samdech Techo Hun Sen accepted the invitation and welcomed the cooperation between Cambodia and Belarus by encouraging both sides to further deepen their existing cooperation.
The Cambodian premier recommended both sides to set up an inter-governmental commission, a key mechanism to coordinate, examine and enhance the Cambodia-Belarus relations.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also welcomed the upcoming opening of Belarus’ agricultural tractor assembly plant in Cambodia, saying that it will not only for the Cambodian market, but also for export to Laos, Vietnam, Thailand and Myanmar.
H.E. Vladimir Andreichenko arrived in Phnom Penh on Sunday for an official visit until Feb. 13. Following his arrival, he was received by Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, and both sides signed a cooperation agreement.
