PM: No Discrimination Policy against Investors

image001Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has once against image002confirmed the Royal Government of Cambodia’s policy towards investors.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of a US$150-million sugar refinery in Kampong Speu province on Dec. 27, Samdech Techo Hun Sen image003said Cambodia has no discrimination policy against any local and foreign investors, but a policy to encourage Cambodian investors.

“Cambodia has a clear policy to strengthen the capacity of local investors to make Cambodian nationals become tycoons as in the developed countries,” explained Samdech Techo Hun Sen. “If Cambodia is rich, Cambodian people will stop migrating [for work].”

He further said that if something happens for example natural disasters, they will help the government through the art of sharing.

Meanwhile, in order to prevent any fire disaster, Samdech Techo Hun Sen once again called on business establishments, hotels … to equip their enterprises with fire preventive system and to have fire trucks for their own use.

If the enterprises have their own fire trucks, they will be able to help not only themselves, but also the communities, thus contributing to social safety, he said.

On the occasion, the Cambodian premier also announced not to levy tariffs on imports of fire trucks and ambulances.
