Cambodian PM Receives Two Indian Companies

image002Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen received Mr. V K Jain, Chairman of Ruchi Soya Industries Limited and Mr. Ajay Krishna Goyal, President of Angelique Group, on the sidelines of the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit taking place on Dec. 20-21 in New Delhi.

On the occasion, Mr. V K Jain informed the Cambodian premier of his company’s intention to invest some US$100 million in Cambodia in food processing for domestic market and export, reported a special envoy of the National Television of Cambodia (TVK).

Samdech Techo Hun Sen welcomed the investment plan and requested the company to further negotiate with local partners to find the investment location.

The prime minister also laid stress on investment potentials in Cambodia including in food processing and rice milling and on the royal government’s endeavors in land reform, said the special envoy.

For his part, Mr. Ajay Krishna Goyal recalled the meeting between his late father and Samdech Techo Hun Sen in the 1980s. He affirmed to follow his late father’s step in supporting the socio-economic development program in Cambodia.

In reply, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his condolences to Mr. Ajay Krishna Goyal’s family over the loss of his father last year and highly valued the Agelique Group for its contribution to the construction of Stung Ta Sal and Stung Svahap dams under India’s concession loan.
