Cambodian PM Receives Outgoing Ambassador of Pakistan

image005Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen met here yesterday afternoon at the Peace Palace with outgoing Ambassador of Pakistan to Cambodia H.E. Fazal-ur-Rahman Kazi.

During the farewell meeting, H.E. Fazal-ur-Rahman Kazi on behalf of the leaders of Pakistan congratulates Cambodia on the successful hosting of the 21st ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Phnom Penh last month, and thanked Cambodia for its support to Pakistan to become a full ASEAN dialogue partner, H.E. Ieng Sophalet, Assistant to the Cambodian prime minister said.

The outgoing Pakistani ambassador also expressed his deepest condolences to the Cambodian government, royal family and people over the demise of King-Father Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk.

H.E. Fazal-ur-Rahman Kazi welcomed the upcoming visit of Cambodian Senior Minister H.E. Cham Prasidh, Minister of Commerce to Pakistan to attend a trade expo to boost trade and relations between the two countries. According to the ambassador, Cambodia has joined twice such an event.

For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen urged both sides to further promote the bilateral cooperation, especially in the trade field, saying that the two countries’ bilateral trade volume is still low, but it is a good start, the assistant said.

On Friday last week, H.E. Fazal-ur-Rahman Kazi also paid a farewell visit to Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H.E. Hor Namhong.
