According to H.E. Ieng Sophalet, Assistant to Samdech Techo Hun Sen, during the bilateral talk both leaders agreed to further strengthen the bilateral relations and cooperation in all fields between the two countries.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen reiterated Cambodia’s irreversible stance to the “One China policy”, asking the Chinese side not to doubt Cambodia’s polity towards China’s policy.
The Cambodian prime minister congratulated the Communist Party of China (CPC) on the success of its 18th National Congress last month.
He further touched on the celebration of the 55th anniversary of Cambodia-China diplomatic ties next year, as well as the promotion of both countries’ Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Cooperation.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for providing medical treatment to King-Father Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk until he passed away on Oct. 15, indicating that the King-Father’s cremation will be held on Feb. 4, 2013.
For her part, H.E. Ms. Liu Yandong conveyed greetings from Chinese Premier H.E. Wen Jiabao to Samdech Techo Hun Sen and congratulated Cambodia on its successful hosting of the 21st ASEAN Summit and Related Summits.
She also thanked Cambodia for its support to the “One China Policy” and laid stress on the 55th anniversary of Cambodia-China diplomatic relations in 2013, saying that it will be a good opportunity for both sides to further promote cooperation to a new-high level in all fields including education, culture and youth besides politics, trade, investment and tourism.
H.E. Ms. Liu Yandong arrived here on Friday afternoon for a two-day official visit.
