Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen presided over here yesterday the graduation ceremony of 5,473 bachelor and master students of the National University of Management (NUM).
Addressing the graduation ceremony, Prime Minister Techo Hun Sen expressed once again the pride of the Royal Government of Cambodia for putting forth the correct policy framework for the private sector to participate in the education field.
PM Hun Sen went on by stressing that the government’s scholarships have only for more than 400 students, so other students have to continue their studies with their own fees in both public and private universities.
According to the figures from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, of the 5,473 graduated students, 428 are scholarship bachelor students, 4,373 are private bachelor students and 672 others are private master students.
Up to now, the number of higher education establishments in Cambodia has increased to 97, of which 38 are public establishments.
There are in total 222,146 higher education students across the country, including 83,719 female students.
