The 2nd East Asia Summit (EAS) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting To Be Held on Thursday

The 2nd East Asia Summit (EAS) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting will take place here on July 12 at the Peace Palace under the chairmanship of H.E. Hor Namhong, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the meeting will be attended by the Foreign Ministers from 18 EAS participating countries namely Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the United State of America, Russia, Australia, New Zealand and India.

The EAS Foreign Ministers will crucially focus on reviewing the future direction of the EAS cooperation and the preparation for the 7th East Asia Summit (EAS) to be held in Phnom Penh on Nov. 20, 2012. Furthermore, the Foreign Ministers will also exchange views on regional and international issues, it added.
