PM Hun Sen To Meet His Thai Counterpart in Late September

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen will meet with Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva on Sept. 24 during the ASEAN-U.S. Meeting to be held in the U.S.

Cambodian Information Minister H.E. Khieu Kanharith told this to reporters on Sept. 2 after a meeting between Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and visiting Thai Minister to the Thai prime minister’s Office H.E. Ongart Klampaiboon.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Abhisit Vejjajiva could meet four times this year  in New York, Brussels, Hanoi and Phnom Penh, said H.E. Khieu Kanharith, adding that the meetings will not only focus on the border issue.

In the meeting, Samdech Techo Hun Sen asked both sides to do their best to minimize their dispute and maximize their cooperation, he said.

For his part, visiting Ongart Klampaiboon said Samdech Hun Sen expressed his goodwill to improve the relationship and promote the cooperation with Thailand, H.E. Khieu Kanharith said.

After the meeting, Mr. Ongart Klampaiboon praised the Cambodian premier Techo Hun Sen for his kindness and goodwill to strengthen the relations between the two countries
