H.E Hor Namhong Meets with New Chinese Ambassador

 On 16 March 2010, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, His Excellency Pan Guangxue, Chinese ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia, was allowed to hold a working talk with His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister HOR Namhong, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

During the meeting, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister HOR Namhong raised the importance of the railway construction project from Phnom Penh to Cambodian-Vietnamese border because this railway is a chunk of the ASEAN railway, starting from Singapore to Kunming (China) via Cambodia. Meanwhile, he thanked the Chinese Government for its consecutive concessional loans for the development of hydropower sector, contributing to Cambodia’s economic growth.

Whereas His Excellency Koy Kuong, Under Secretary of State, Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, stated that the Chinese government welcomes the visit by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Shanghai Expo, China as well as nearby provinces on 30 April 2010.

His Excellency Pan Guangxue said that the existing friendship and cooperation between the two countries will be further strengthened and expanded during his mission
