Chinese Vice President Arrives in Cambodia

Visiting Vice President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping arrived in Siem Reap province on Dec. 20 to begin his three-day official visit in the Kingdom, at the invitation of Cambodian Premier Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.

He was welcomed at Siem Reap International Airport by high-ranking government officials and members of the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia.

In Siem Reap, about 314 kilometers northwest of Phnom Penh, the Chinese delegation visited Angkor Wat Temple, Bayon Temple and Chao Say Tevoda Temple rehabilitated with the Chinese assistance.

As scheduled, the visiting Chinese vice president came to Phnom Penh this morning. During his stay here, he will be received in a royal audience by His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, and pay courtesy call on Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Thamma Pothisal Chea Sim, and National Assembly President Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin. He will also hold official talks with Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Mr. Xin Jinping will witness a signing ceremony of 14 relevant documents on cooperation, according to a press release of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation
