Senate President Meets Indonesian and Japanese Ambassadors

1-01[1]Cambodian Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Thamma Pothisal Chea Sim received here on Aug. 12 newly appointed Ambassador of Indonesia to Cambodia Mr. I Gede Ngurah Swajaya.

In the meeting, Samdech Chea Sim warmly welcomed Mr. Swajaya’s diplomatic mission in the kingdom, saying that through his mission, the ties of friendship and cooperation between both countries will be further strengthened.

He expressed deep thanks to the government of Indonesia for its active contribution to the establishment of peace, stability and the development of Cambodia.

He also asked the Indonesian side to strengthen its agricultural cooperation with the kingdom.

In reply, the Indonesian diplomat said he will do his utmost to further deepen the Cambodia-Indonesia cooperation.

Following on the same day, Samdech Chea Sim also met with the outgoing Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia Mr. Katsuhiro Shinohara.

During the talks, he highly valued the success of Mr. Shinohara’s diplomatic mission and thanked the Japanese government and people for their assistance to the development of Cambodia.

For his parts, Mr. Shinohara affirmed that Japan will continue to assist Cambodia, particularly to further deepen the bilateral cooperation between both countries.

On the occasion, through the outgoing Japanese ambassador, the Senate president invited his Japanese counterpart to pay an official visit to Cambodia.
