More than forty international consul corps in Boston including newly Honorary Consul General of Cambodia in Lowell, MA, Mr. Ou Sovann and his spouse were invited to joint the evening Consul ball which was 6th years hosting by the United Nation Association of Boston on April 17, 2009 at Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel.
The Consul Ball was demonstrated a uniquely evening honoring the Consular Corps of Boston while supporting global education in local school.
Dina Keo, a teenager Cambodian school girl and the one of the few outstanding students in the areas, gave a very interested speech to the audient about the educational opportunity for every child in the world and thank to the strongly support by the Consular Corps in Boston.
The Consul Ball benefits UNA-GB’s international education program in Boston -area school through Model simulations. These program encourage American youth to think critically about the complex global issues and increase understanding of diversity, the world beyond their borders, and the value of conflict resolution and diplomatic.
At the mean time, Mr. Ou and spouse Toung, expressed their warmest thank to the group of Cambodian Living Art that sponsored the event and putting Cambodian flag among the other country represented in Boston.
The festive evening featured a cocktail reception, a silent auction and raffle, an international dinner menu, and dancing throughout the evening. A trumpet fanfare as the consular corps parade enter the Grand Ballroom.
